Just over a month after launching its third-term session, Kwara State’s Coding & Digital Literacy Programme has reached a major milestone—thousands of public school students have completed their digital foundation training and are now set to begin Coding and Innovation Thinking.
The program, which kicked off on February 25th, 2025, has already transformed classrooms, with students confidently using digital tools and showcasing their growing digital skills.
As the Digital Literacy phase wraps up, coordinators are conducting final assessments to track progress. The upcoming Test Assessment isn’t just about grades—it’s the key to unlocking the next stage, where students will progress into coding and creative problem-solving.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s ed-tech initiative is ahead of schedule, proving that a strong digital foundation leads to better learning outcomes. The programme’s step-by-step approach—starting with digital basics before moving to coding—ensures students truly grasp the concepts.
Kwara State is preparing its youth for Nigeria’s digital future, and early signs show students aren’t just learning tech—they’re learning to think like innovators.
With the next phase around the corner, the program is set to unlock even more potential, teaching students to build solutions, not just use technology.
Kwara’s education revolution is proving what’s possible in public schools—one digital skill at a time.
