Kwara Coding & Digital Literacy Programme Accelerates in Week 5, Sets Stage for Advanced Learning and October Exhibition.

The Summer Holiday Edition of the Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme continued its impressive trajectory in Week 5, marked by significant gains in student learning outcomes and instructional delivery. Building on previous weeks’ success, participants further honed their skills in Python programming, web development, and Innovation Thinking, demonstrating enhanced comprehension and practical application.

Students exhibited growing confidence and creativity as they engaged with more complex technical concepts and hands-on assignments—including responsive web design and fundamental Python data structures—showcasing their readiness for advanced challenges.

A key operational update accompanies the conclusion of Week 5: the schedule for Week 6 has been adjusted. Instead of the regular Monday-through-Thursday format, classes will now be held only on Monday, September 8, and Tuesday, September 9, 2025. This change is intended to allow students, instructors, and partner schools sufficient time to prepare for the formal resumption of the academic year on September 15, 2025.

The programme’s momentum remains strong, fueled by recent high-level engagements and ongoing oversight. Week 4’s unscheduled visit by the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, to United Junior Secondary School, Taiwo Isale, along with continued monitoring by the Special Assistant on Digital Innovations, Hon. Ishola Kayode—who recently completed another round of visits to schools in Kwara Central—has amplified enthusiasm and institutional support.

This energy is now channeled toward upcoming milestones, particularly the Exhibition of Student Projects scheduled for October. The announcement has sparked widespread anticipation, offering learners a platform to display innovations developed since the programme’s inception.

Attendance across all centers remains consistently strong—a notable achievement for a holiday initiative—reflecting sustained interest and commitment from participants.

As Week 5 concludes, the programme is pivoting thoughtfully toward the revised schedule and the eagerly awaited project exhibitions. It continues to serve as a cornerstone of transformative human capital development in Kwara State, providing real-world digital skills that align with global technological advancements.

This initiative stands as a critical investment in the future of Kwara’s youth, granting them access to cutting-edge digital training and opportunity pathways—all in harmony with the innovative vision of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON.
