Empowering the Grassroots: Project 774 Digital Capacity Training Officially Flags Off in Offa LGA Secretariat

The Kwara State Government has officially signaled the commencement of Project 774: Digital Capacity Training in Offa Local Government Area. This strategic rollout marks a pivotal step in deepening grassroots digital inclusion and connectivity across the state’s designated pilot zones, which include Ilorin West, East, South, Ifelodun, and Offa.

An initiative of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, the program is specifically designed to equip local government personnel with advanced digital competencies. By training these frontline officials, the initiative established a sustainable foundation for broader community-based literacy, ensuring that modern connectivity benefits every layer of the local administration.

This milestone reflects the “people-first” vision of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON. The Governor’s commitment to digital transformation emphasizes that the dividends of development must reach the grassroots, narrowing the digital divide and positioning local government staff as catalysts for technological growth within their respective communities.

Following the successful flag-off ceremony in Offa, the comprehensive training modules are scheduled to commence in full immediately. This intensive capacity-building exercise ensures that Kwara remains at the forefront of the national digital economy, fostering an inclusive environment where innovation thrives at the local level.
