The Kwara State Government, through the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Digital Innovation, has announced a break for the 2026 Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme. This decision aligns with the commencement of Second Term examinations in schools across the state on Monday, March 16th, 2026.
The initiative has successfully concluded the first two weeks of its 2026 edition, a period exclusively dedicated to a comprehensive revision of the 2025 curriculum. This phase allowed facilitators to harmonize learning levels, assess student proficiency, and ensure foundational mastery across all participating institutions before introducing advanced modules.
Following this productive assessment period, the administration has opted to defer technical sessions to ensure the program does not conflict with core academic responsibilities during the examination window. By implementing this scheduled break, the state enables students to maintain undivided focus on their formal assessments while preserving the integrity of their technical training.
The Office of the Special Assistant on Digital Innovation confirmed that the curriculum will resume immediately following the examination period. Upon return, students will conclude the revision phase and transition into the 2026 technical tracks, featuring Artificial Intelligence foundations, web development, advanced programming, and essential workplace soft skills.
The Kwara State Government remains steadfast in its passion to position the state as a premier digital hub. This commitment ensures that the next generation is not only technically proficient but also academically sound, driven by the administration’s balanced approach to human capital development.
