The Office of the Special Assistant on Digital Innovation is pleased to announce the commencement of the Summer Holiday Edition of the Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme, focusing on Coding and Innovation Thinking. The session will officially begin on Monday, August 4, 2025, across participating public schools in the state.
Since its inception, Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme has recorded remarkable success—thanks to the commitment of school administrators, instructors, and stakeholders. This milestone would not have been possible without the dedication of school heads who have ensured seamless implementation, creating opportunities for students to acquire critical digital skills.
Programme Highlights:
The Summer Holiday Edition is designed to:
– Equip students with coding fundamentals and innovation-driven problem-solving techniques
– Foster creativity, logical reasoning, and computational thinking
– Prepare young learners for the demands of a technology-driven global economy.
To ensure inclusivity, a continuation session will run concurrently, allowing schools that started late or experienced delays to catch up. This measure aligns with the state government’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and ensuring no student is left behind.
All school heads and administrators are urged to:
– Notify participating students and parents about the resumption date (August 4, 2025)
– Emphasize the importance of holiday participation for continuous learning.
– Support instructors to deliver a high-impact learning experience
The programme has made full arrangements for instructor remuneration to ensure smooth facilitation.
