The 2026 Summer Edition of the Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme sustained its momentum in Week Three, with learners across participating centres engaging in practical and increasingly advanced training in programming, web development, and data analysis.
The week featured intensive sessions in Python programming, covering conditional statements, loops, lists, tuples, sets, dictionaries, and functions. These lessons strengthened participants’ logical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to develop structured and efficient programmes.
Learners also advanced their JavaScript skills, exploring variables, data types, logical operations, and conditional statements. In web development, participants worked on personal portfolios and HTML forms while gaining practical experience with CSS positioning, Flexbox, media queries, and JavaScript interactivity.
The programme further strengthened learners’ data analysis skills through Excel lessons on data validation and Pivot Table analysis. Some participants were also introduced to Python tools and libraries, including SQLite3, Tkinter, and Bcrypt, broadening their understanding of practical software development.
Week Three also featured valuable stakeholder engagement, with Mrs. Ibiyeye of W.Tech providing supervision and assessment, and visit to the training centre to encourage participants and offer valuable guidance.
Under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme continues to equip young people across the state with relevant, practical, and future-ready digital skills.
