The 2026 Summer Edition of the Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme officially commenced its first week of activities on Monday, August 3, 2026, across participating public schools in Kwara State, with students resuming classes with renewed enthusiasm, commitment, and excitement for digital learning.

Week One of the Third Summer Edition featured a balanced blend of intensive revision exercises and practical learning sessions designed to reinforce previously acquired knowledge while introducing participants to more advanced digital concepts.

Students engaged in topics including online security, Excel for data analysis, introductory artificial intelligence, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, the development of a “To-Do List” application, digital literacy, Python modules, and several other hands-on learning activities that built upon lessons from earlier sessions.

To ensure effective learning outcomes, all instructional activities were carefully structured and delivered according to the participants’ documented levels of understanding, allowing for a more engaging, inclusive, and impactful learning experience.

The opening week also featured appreciation messages from the programme’s coordinating team to facilitators, instructors, and other key stakeholders, acknowledging their unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions. Their commitment extends beyond teaching technology; they continue to inspire innovation, nurture young talents, unlock potential, and play a vital role in laying a strong digital foundation for the future of Kwara State.

The initiative, coordinated by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Digital Innovations, will continue over the next five weeks, with participants progressing into more advanced modules, practical coding sessions, collaborative learning experiences, and innovation challenges. Together, these activities will culminate in a comprehensive six-week learning programme designed to equip students with relevant digital and problem-solving skills.

At the end of the programme, participants will showcase their creativity and technical abilities during a Grand Project Exhibition, where they will present innovative solutions and projects developed throughout the training.

The sustained impact and continued success of the Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Programme remain a testament to the visionary leadership and unwavering commitment of the administration of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, Executive Governor of Kwara State, to advancing education, youth empowerment, innovation, digital inclusion, and human capital development.
